Lilly Aspell is a Scottish-born actress who is famously known for portraying Young Diana in Wonder Woman (2017) and reprising the role once again as Young Diana in Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). The film’s director Patty Jenkins wanted to minimise the use of CGI in the Wonder Woman film, So Lilly Aspell took to doing her own stunts within the film, which saw her prepare for the occasion by training in the art of sword wielding, firing arrows from horseback and leaping into the ocean from a high board. Lilly is an accomplished horse-rider and showjumper which certainly came in use during the filming. Lilly was spotted in London at the age of 8 and was asked to audition for the movie. On set, Lilly was extremely professional for such a young age and in fact Gal Gadot said that she was so impressed with young Lilly and that she was “the real deal”. Lilly Aspell has also appeared as Megan in the 2018 science fiction film Extinction, Newschild in the 2018 Holmes and Watson and recently Gretel in the 2021 TV Movie, Hansel and Gretel: After Ever After. New for Capital Sci fi Con on the 23rd and 24th of July 2022 at the Edinburgh O2 Academy is, The Iron Throne. The Iron Throne is the seat of the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and is often used as a metonymic device to refer to the king's authority or to the polity born after Aegon's Conquest. The king often holds audiences and dispenses justice from atop it in the Red Keep's throne room, the Great Hall. The Iron Throne represents the difficulty of ruling and the brutality necessary to gain power. According to the story told in the novel, Aegon the Conqueror built the Throne out of the swords of his conquered enemies because he did not think that a king should sit easily. So, come sit upon The Iron Throne at Capital Sci fi Con for an awesome photo opportunity... Just in time for the release of "House of the Dragon" premiere on the 21st of August 2022 HBO Max. |
